House Rules is a compelling dark comedy written by Labbie A. Rey Pamatmat, directed by Ralph B. Pena, and stage managed by the incredible Jennifer Delac.

Welcome back, Jen!  We’ve seen you around before, haven’t we?
Yes! I’ve been with Ma-Yi for about 3 years now both as a stage manager and as a choreographer. My first show with Ma-Yi was the first full production of “The Wong Kids in the Secret of the Space Chupacabra Go!”.

What are you looking forward to most in this rehearsal process?
Getting to know this incredible team better and delving into the very real life moments presented in this play.

So why should someone come see this play?
It will make you laugh and it will make you cry. It will make you think and appreciate, particularly when it comes to family.

What’s your favorite game?

I can just tell that’s a fun one by it’s name!  Does your family ever make up its own rules when you play games together?
Absolutely! There are some games we don’t mess with but there are others where we like to mix things up just to make it more interesting or give it an extra challenge. My family is pretty big on game nights. Growing up we had game night parties where we sometimes even invented our own games to fit a certain holiday.

That sounds awesome. So tell us something fun about yourself- any special skills or hidden talents?
I’m a dancer and a choreographer. I have danced with a fire torch before for a show but I wouldn’t say I make it a habit.

What is your favorite late night snack?
Popcorn or ice cream…or both.

Sounds delicious!  Anything you want to shout out to your mom and dad?
Love you to the moon and back! When’s the next game night?!
